Paruppu urundai more kuzhambu

More Kuzhambu:

It is one of the easiest and tastiest kuzhambu variety. There are different ways to prepare this kuzhambu. Also we can use either of these vegetables like pumpkin, okra, potato, ash gourd.

apart from this we can prepare more kuzhambu with paruppu urundai. now the procedure to prepare paruppu urundai more kuzhambu is as follows:

Ingredients:


first i will tell how to prepare paruppu urundai

paruppu urundai:

 

for preparing paruppu urundai mix the following ingredients:

1 cup toor dal (soaked in water for 5-6 hours)
5-6 dried chillies
curry leaves
salt for taste

put the above ingredients in mixer grinder and make it grinded as coarse. then make it in small round shape and keep in idly pan. Let it get steam cooked for 15-20minutes. So we now prepared the paruppu urundai. keep it aside and let us prepare the more kuzhambu.


More kuzhambu Ingredients:

3 tbl spoon of grated coconut
3-4 green chillies
2 tbl spoon of jeera
2 cups of thick yogurt or butter milk
1 tbl spoon turmeric powder
salt for taste

put the above ingredients(coconut,green chillies & jeera) in mixer grinder and make it grinded as fine paste.

Now, in a bowl add the yogurt and then add the mixed paste along with paruppu urundai. add turmeric powder and salt. now stir well.

Then simmer it on the low flame and when it starts to froth at the sides turn the stove off.

Seasoning: Curry leaves, mustard, fenugreek 1/2 tsp, coconut oil or sesame oil.

Serve hot with rice.

Note: Any vegetable fry would be the best side dish for this...i prefer deep potato fry :)

Instead of paruppu urundai, you can add vegetables like bindi, brinjal etc.,
