Cabbage fry recipe

How to prepare cabbage (muttai kose) fry..

Ingredients:

cabbage - 200gms
cumin seeds - 1tsp
gram dal - 1tsp
mustard seeds - 1/2tsp
curry leaves - few
grated coconut -2tsp
chopped green chillies - 3
oil
salt to taste

Method to prepare muttai kose fry(cabbage fry)

1. chop the cabbage leaves into small pieces and wash with clean water.
2. add little amount of water with turmeric powder and pressure cook cabbage for 2-3 whistles.
3. once it is cooled, filter the excess water from the cabbage and keep it aside.
4. heat the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to crackle.
5. add cumin seeds, gram dal, green chillies, curry leaves and fry well.
6. now add the cabbage to it and mix well. add grated coconut and salt.
7. let it get fried for few more minutes in low flame.
8. switch off the flame. cabbage fry is ready. it would be a good side dish for any sambar/kuzhambu recipes.

note: you can add green peas also to this cabbage fry.
