kothukadalai aka cow peas sundal

kothukadalai (cow peas) sundal

Ingredients:

cow peas - 100gm
mustard seeds - 1tsp
curry leaves - few
oil -1tbsp
coconut - 1tbsp (chopped)
chilly powder - 1tsp
salt to taste

Method:

1. Soak the cow peas overnight for about 8-9 hours. Then cook it in a pressure pan for about 4-5 whistles and keep it aside.
2. heat the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to crackle.
3. add curry leaves along with cooked cow peas.
4. fry it well and add chopped coconut.
5. then add salt and chilli powder and fry again for few minutes.
6. add hing powder a little to get additional flavour.

kothukadalai sundal is ready now..
