Thattai recipe

Ingredients:

gram flour - 1 cup
rice flour - 1 cup
butter -1slice
red chilli powder - 1tbsp
salt to taste
gram dal - 2tbsp (soaked in water for 2hours)
hing powder - few

 Method:

1. take a bowl and add gram flour, rice flour, butter, red chilli powder, salt, hing powder, soaked gram dal and mix well.
2. add sufficient amount of water to make a thick dough. dont add too much of water.
3. take a clean cloth or polythene sheets (for kitchen purpose) and make small, small rounds of this dough.
 4. scrub oil to your hands a little to make the dough non-sticky while you make rounds.
5. heat the oil in a pan and once it is heated well, fry the thattai rounds till it get golden brown colour.
6. store it in a air tight container.

hot thattai is ready.

note: you can also add sesame seeds or peanuts to the dough to get more taste. its all depends on your taste and wish :) so go ahead and prepare this easy dish..
