Vazhaipoo vadai recipe

How to prepare vazhaipoo (plaintain flower) vadai..

Ingredients:

vazhaipoo - 1 small size
gram dal - 150gms
green chillies (chopped) -3
salt to taste
hing powder - a pinch

Method to prepare vazhaipoo (plaintain flower) vadai:

1. Clean the vazhaipooand take the florets. If you have to know how to clean vazhaipoo, here is the way to do it. vazhaipoo ( plaintain flower cleaning)
2. chop the vazhaipoo florets into small pieces and  pressure cook it for 3-4 whistles. keep it aside.
2. soak gram dal in water for about 2 hours.
3. grind the gram dal in a blender without adding water.
4. take a bowl and add gram dal mixture along with salt, green chillies, cooked vazhaipoo and little hing powder.
5. mix it thoroughly.
6. heat the oil in a pan and once it is heated, take small rounds of batter, make vadas one by one and put in oil.
7. fry the vadas till it get golden brown colour.
